This term our topic is Weather. We will be looking at all sorts of weather and weather in different countries. We will be thinking about holidays and we will have a travel agent in the playroom to book those holidays! Our science this term is the effect of heat and cold on materials. We will be investigating ice, how it is made and how it melts. We hope to make ice lollies and ice balloons.
This term we also look at the Chinese new year and find out why it is the year of the dragon! | Our Maths topic this term is all about Time. We will be hoping that children can read o'clock and half past and can recognise the days of the week.
We will start to look at two letters making a single sound in our phonics. Examples of this are sh, ch, wh and th. Encourage your children to look for these sounds at the beginning, middle and end of words.This term we will be continuing spellings and some children will also be learning to spell some High Frequency words. |
