Catch Up Programme
This is a literacy programme specifically aimed at boys in P3-P6 who are having difficulty in reading.
The programme consists of focused sessions of support using ICT and supported by a specialist teacher Mrs I McCall.
The children are assessed and placed on their own personally matched programme.
Parents of the boys are also trained by the Vice Principal, Mr C Millar in the following areas:
1. How boys learn.
2. How my son learns to read.
3. Phonological Awareness and Phonics.
4. Tips to help my son when he is reading.
